Remarks: I can definitely see the parallels. The tune is cute and catchy. I wish them all the best. In about chapter 3 I suddenly realised that they changed the magazine from Shounen Jump to Jack. ARGH!!! NO!!! I vehemently oppose!! What's with the pointless censoring!? It's annoying! Shounen Jump is Shounen Jump!! In fact, the selling point of the entire manga was the realism of it. They serialize in Shueisha, the publisher of Jump. That has its charm! I mean, like, huh? You're cross-referencing to something else under another name, which is totally off. What about Jump SQ? What about the Tezuka Award? The this, the that, the everything which unveils the inner workings of the manga industry without hiding it beyond a white veil? Part of the lure of Bakuman was the realism with respect to the manga publishers which the readers could correlate to and the manga referenced to: Bleach, Naruto, Ashita no Joe, and Shueisha, Shounen Jump, Jump SQ, Akamaru Jump, the novel division of Shueisha. If you remove that charm, what will become of it!?!?!?! And okay, I watched Kami Nomi. It was pure win. I enjoyed the opening song, but I think it would better if they got rid of their Japanese accent (admittedly, quite hard to do so, since I doubt I'd be able to get rid of mine either) and pronounce words properly. I enjoy how Keima is smart. That is a real plus point. I also finished 117 chapters of TWGOK and it was fantastic! (Though I wish translators would QUIT adding 'ne' into their translations. Let's get this right, 'ne' is an expression which can mean lots of things depending on the context, and it is NOT an English word. I don't understand how someone who can translate TWGOK decently (checked with the raws and argh, can't associate with the million foreign words they have katakana-lized) can't translate 'ne' according to the context. Putting it in the English translation is just unprofessional and annoying to the reader. Yes I know I'm a leecher in anything other than shoujo/josei manga, but STILL.) Loved the Yui arc and how Keima acts all girly and his expressions, though their feminism/masculinity gets somewhat lost in translation since Japanese word use and sentence structure differs according to male/female and it gets hard to put it into English. I WANNA READ THE NEXT CHAPTER!!!  My friends also agreed that it was imbalanced. It made me upset, so we decided that we'd ask the prof about it. So we took my scribbling and asked the prof who was right. The prof also agreed that it was imbalanced (i.e. I was wrong.) I can prove mathematically that I am, in fact, correct. Since our centrifuge has 12 holes, each evenly spaced, each hole is away from every other hole 360/12=30 degrees on the circle. Centrifugal forces act outward. Hence each tube can be modelled as a point object with a force facing outwards. As each of our tubes are identical, let's take into account only the direction of the forces for all the tubes. Resolving the forces into the horizontal and vertical directions, we have: Horizontal direction: sin 0 + sin 30 + sin 120 + sin 150 + cos 210 + sin 240 + sin 330 = 0 Vertical direction: cos 0 + cos 30 + cos 120 + cos 150 + cos 210 + cos 240 + cos 330 = 0 Note that both the horizontal components and vertical components of the forces all sum to zero. This means that my centrifuge is indeed, balanced properly. Hmph. Idiots who insist that I am wrong. Pfft. Take that! I want my Nurarihyon no Mago! (Sadly, now that the anime is out, I'm betting that it'll get licensed sooner or later. Not like it has anything to do with me, really, since if I buy I wouldn't buy the English version, but it further represses the community. Not like I had any trouble getting hold of Kekkaishi despite it being licensed and all. Muahaha.) I want my Ao no Exorcist! (I'd hate to see this licensed, since I want scanlations for this one.) And a zillion other things I want to read (Arcana anthologies. And I want Kal-senpai to finish Dawn Tsumetai Te & the wonderful geometric progression.) Maybe Psyren will come out with an anime soon. :) (But that'd mean that it's going to be licensed...) Today I went to Kinokuniya and found that the price of Jump comics rose by 48 yen. T_T That's one dollar. How could yoooouuu!!! My entertainment!! Random thoughts for the day: Since everyone knows how A runs home after A finishes what A is supposed to do, B shouldn't leave Z lying around. Since C knows B left Z lying around, C might as well help keep Z where Z was supposed to be. In the end, D helped to keep Z. Maybe C was busy. A was pretty irresponsible (but A didn't know.) I don't know what to make out of it. The more I think, the more it poisons my brain, and I hate it... |
